Text Box: The following is a list of some of the work performed by Rowland and Moore LLP in the field of telecommunications law.  Although they are licensed in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, due to liberal reciprocity rules in regulatory proceedings, Rowland and Moore LLP have been able to represent clients in regulatory matters throughout the country.

Litigation before public utility commissions, state and federal courts.
Participation in the legislative process, including monitoring and reporting on state and federal legislative activities in telecommunications, and assisting clients in preparing testimony for state legislative hearings.
Negotiation of Interconnection agreements under the federal Telecommunications Act and subsequent arbitration proceedings along with representation in disputes over interpretation of interconnection agreements.
Contesting rates charged by incumbent carriers for interconnection, unbundled elements and resold services.
Assisting new carriers in obtaining state certification to provide telecommunications service, including preparation of pleadings, preparing tariffs and working with technical and financial representatives to gather and present evidence. Participation in proceedings involving reciprocal compensation, deregulation, operator services, number portability, NPA allocation, total element long run incremental costs and the SBC/Ameritech merger.
Advising on federal, state and local tax, franchise and fee obligations.
Advising on issues relating to private telecommunications networks, shared tenant services, MDU policies, pole attachment agreements, interconnection agreements, lease arrangements, indefeasible right of use agreements (IRUs), and the acquisition of telecommunications carriers.
Assisting in obtaining required approvals for mergers of telecommunications carriers.
Representation regarding telecommunications matters in real estate developments.
